The Cars of Superheroes

While “Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice” may currently be sitting below 30% on, the movie did introduce an incredible new Batmobile!  Following on from the Tumbler [used in the Dark Knight trilogy], this one comes with a futuristic design that is highlighted by a massive Chevy engine.  But unfortunately for car fans the details of the vehicle were not released.  Do not fear though, for the new superhero movie ‘Suicide Squad’ is coming soon, and it features one hell of a car, with details [just incase you want to recreate it yourself of course!].

By now you’ll probably have seen the trailer of the new film and it’s not hard to miss the shiny purple sports car (complete with ‘HAHAHA’ licence plate) that The Joker is seen driving.  So what exactly is under the good of this eye-catching neon coloured sports car?

It is a custom made body mounted to the chassis of a ten-year-old Infiniti, so it is based on a real model that’s being sold to the public.  It is a Vaydor, a custom kit car body and frame that’s built on the underpinnings of an Infiniti G35 and tricked out with white leather, neon lights and a reflective pink finish.  It was built by independent Florida-based company Vaydor Exotics and designed by Matt McEntegart.  Vaydor is a Florida-based company that offers complete fiberglass rebody kits, interiors and performance parts for the 2003 to 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe.

Included in The Joker’s kit is a main rear body shell, front clips for the bumpers and side roof rails, along with a rear floating wing, a central tail-light and Lambo-inspired door hinges.  And, why the colour purple?  It looks great under the neon lights of the Gotham City night!

Suicide Squad stars a tonne of celebrities, including Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Jared Leto as The Joker, and is scheduled for release on August 5, 2016.
